2024, Phew what a year!

Well it’s been absolutely ages since I’ve had time to update my website and even think about writing a blog! The last year (plus!) has been a complete whirlwind and I am still catching my breath after my busiest year since starting the business in 2010. Normally at this time of year I am panicking slightly about filing my tax return and planning for the year ahead but after a thankfully quiet first week I have actually managed to get on top of the admin and taxes are done, so at last I have a bit of time to look back over the year and think about updating my galleries.

It was a tough year for me on a personal level, with many family emergencies and health issues to deal with as well as having my biggest workload to date. I am definitely not grumbling about the work, it’s been fantastic to be so busy and I enjoyed working on every project with regular and new clients, and I hope this will continue to grow.

My personal highlights from 2024 include shooting some events as the Swiss Embassy in London, working with a lovely local theatre company, my favourite brewery - Double Barrelled, lovely local landscaping firm, Nigel Belcher, and many other events and commercial shoots as well as a couple of weddings under my wedding banner - Something New. I have been doing a lot more property photography over the last couple of years, and I really enjoy it, especially when working on high end developments with clients such as Kingsmen Construction.

I haven’t been able to take much time off work this year but when I did it was to take a quick break in Rye, which was so beautiful I hope to go back one day for a bit longer. Then we had a new kitchen built and it’s made a massive difference to the house, I absolutely love it and have even started making my own bread! We managed to take a whole week off in November and enjoyed staying in Lyme Regis - such a lovely little town and despite the storms (we arrived as Storm Bert was in full swing) I think it was a perfect time to visit. A few of my favourite shots are below (in no particular order!)

The end of the year saw lots more work, with loads of property and commercial shoots, and I was relieved to have a bit of time off over Christmas. 2025 has started off with more commercial shoots and events, so I’m hoping it will continue to keep me busy but maybe with a little bit more time for holidays!

Wishing you all the best for the year to come

Big hugs….
